2025 INDIANA FEVER STATS PREDICTIONS

WRITTEN + EDITED BY JORDYN BONTRAGER

Do not look now, but the 2025 WNBA regular SZN is a mere 73 days away. After what has turned out to be a masterful offseason roster overhaul by rookie GM Amber Cox, Indiana Fever fanatics should be counting down the days that lead up to the unveiling of the organization’s newly constructed roster.

Outbound are NaLyssa Smith x Temi Fagbenle x Kristy Wallace x Katie Lou Samuelson x Erica Wheeler x Grace Berger x Victaria Saxton. Replacing them are Natasha Howard x DeWanna Bonner x Sophie Cunningham x Brianna Turner x Sydney Colson x Jaelyn Brown. While everyone is certainly always entitled to their opinion, anyone who believes the band of newcomers not to be an upgrade over their predecessors is flat out incorrect.

Obviously the entire Fever operation revolves around franchise centerpiece CC, but she will by no means have to do everything on her own. Her backcourt buddy Kelsey Mitchell is back to provide her perennial supply of electric scoring ability from all levels. We should be in store for another year of improvement from Aliyah Boston, who is the unquestioned frontcourt cornerstone of this franchise’s future. Lexie Hull and her elite 3&D potential (WNBA’s second-highest 3-point shooting splash rate last SZN at 47.4%) should only continue to sprout with another year of development beneath her belt. And while Damiris Dantas may not strike anyone as a big name, she was subliminally superb for this team last year and validated her reputation as a frontcourt floor spacer (39.4% from deep).

Those returning players will all retain their spots within the core of this squad, but will simultaneously need to make room for the previously noted influx of proven talent. Both Howard (12th at 17.6 PPG) + Bonner (21st at 15.0 PPG) were among the league’s top 25 bucket-getters a year ago, and come baring a wealth of knowledge + championship pedigree (5x championships combined) for their younger peers to learn + benefit from. Cunningham will pair with Hull to form one of the most solid 3&D wing tandems in the WNBA this SZN, while Colson (2x WNBA champion) will claim Erica Wheeler’s place as the steady-handed backup/mentor to Clark off the pine. 2X WNBA All-Defensive First Team member Brianna Turner brings bundles of energy on the less glamorous end, and while she may not garner a ton of minutes (within such a crowded frontcourt) there are sure to be times when Stephanie White turns to her for frontcourt support. Brown is probably poised for the smallest role of the renaissance crew, but has the athleticism to make a real difference (especially defensively) when requested.

All these things considered, it is going to be interesting to see how the collective unit performs with so many high-quality individual pieces on board. Sacrifices will be required on the offensive end in order to convert the team’s overall aspirations into fruition, but these incoming veterans should be up to the task as they look to add another championship ring to their bling collection.

And with so much firepower surrounding her, do not snooze on the possibility (probability) of CC shattering Courtney Vandersloot’s all-time single season record for nightly dimes (10.0 APG with Chicago back in 2020). Her scoring figures might reflect a slight reduction, but the aforementioned reinforcements will more than compensate for any PPG dip that may come as Clark aims to keep her running mates fed and happy.

With everything above in mind, here is how we forecast things playing out with regards to nightly numbers for each member of the Indiana Fever in the 2025 WNBA season to come.
